Myth: Ceramic coatings make your car "scratch-proof."
Reality:
Gyeon Q² Mohs EVO increases paint hardness to 3-4H and helps reduce the appearance and incidence of light swirl marks and minor abrasions by adding a protective barrier, but it is not impenetrable. Proper washing techniques are still essential to prevent scratches.
Myth: You don't need to wash a ceramic-coated car.
Reality: Coatings like
Q² Mohs EVO have strong self-cleaning properties, meaning dirt and grime are less likely to bond to the surface and can often be removed with just a strong stream of water. However, regular washing is still required to maintain the coating's performance and appearance, especially during the initial curing phase (avoid washing for the first 14 days).
Myth: Adding multiple layers dramatically increases the hardness level (e.g., from 3H to 6H).
